Call for nominations for the 2010 IPMA Young Project Manager Award

I’m delighted to be asked to form part of the jury for this year’s IPMA Young Project Manager Award, I’m looking forward to seeing the diversity of young project management talent. IPMA Young Crew, the premier global organisation dedicated to supporting future leaders in project management, today announced the call for nominations for the 2010 IPMA Young Project Manager Award. This award brings visibility to a growing demographic of emerging project managers who are passionate about project management, and who have participated in or led successful projects that have had an impact on international business.

The IPMA Young Project Manager Award is open to project managers ages 18 to 35 at the time of application who have worked or are currently working on a project for at least six months. The criteria for evaluation of the award are based upon the International Competence Baseline (ICB), and finalists will be chosen based upon the strength of their overall nomination package. Members and non-members of IPMA are eligible to apply. Finalists for the award will each receive a financial sponsorship of 1,500€ to attend the IPMA Young Crew Conference and Workshop in Istanbul, Turkey on in October 2010.

Initial applications for the 2010 IPMA Young Project Manager Award will be accepted until midnight, June 30, 2010 EST.
