About PMD Pro
PMD Pro is the specialist certification scheme created for project managers working in the development sector. Over 2000 Level 1 certificates have been issued since January 2010. APMG and its partners PM4NGOs and LINGOs developed the scheme in co-operation with NGOs including RedR International, Medair, PATH, World Vision International, European Commission and Catholic Relief Service
PMD Pro is aligned with internationally recognized project management standards and components from the development sector. PMD Pro promotes effective project management through the training of managers working for NGOs who previously had limited opportunities to acquire best practice skills.
As well as working with the NGOs, support from the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation was central to the creation of learning materials associated with the PMD Pro Guide. The Project Management Institute, the International Institute for Learning, True Solutions Inc. and the Versatile Company have all generously provided learning materials and support.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the scheme, the organizations who developed it and the communities which have benefitted from PMD Pro.
